BCSA Children’s, Youth and Senior Coaching Clinics as per your West Vancouver Soccer Club request. These clinics are posted on the BC Soccer website and the registration is open; the minimum required is 15 participants per clinic. I will be working on the fall requests closer to the end of the spring.
The instructor assigned to these clinics (Aug 28/29, Sept 12 & Sept 25/26) is Joe Jhutty.
The instructor assigned to this clinic (Oct 16/17) is Donn Sparkes. All Clinics require a minimum of 15 participants and a maximum of 22 participants. When minimum registration numbers have not been met the clinic will be cancelled 5 working days for coastal clinics and 10 working days for interior clinics. Important Notes: If clinic registration minimums have been met in the registration system and class lists do not reflect the minimum numbers, or if the clinic proceeds with less then minimum numbers, the District Association, DDC, or club host will be invoiced for the minimum number of participants. Click on this link to view the clinic listing - https://ssl.hammersoccer.com/BCSA/eCoaching/coachingcoursesdisplay.asp All coaches participating in any coaching clinics MUST BE registered through the BC Soccer on line registration tool. This allows BC Soccer to be responsible in maintaining an accurate database of coaches in British Columbia and allows for stronger administrative support to the instructors and class participants. Registration for all coaching clinics in British Columbia is done solely through this system. IMPORTANT NOTES WVSC pays for all WVSC Coaches that sign up - you will require a payment code to register, please contact fields@westvansoccer.com for the code (s)

The Canadian Soccer Association has introduced the new format for the coaching certification program. Holger Oseiuk has changed the program from level one, two, three, C-License, B-License and A-License, to a Community Coaching Youth level, a Community Coaching Senior level, B-License and A-License. He has also removed the need for the theory component. BC Soccer started to conduct these sessions in January 2000, but they have included a Theory component in the course.
According to the CSA there are 20 components in the Youth and 20 components in the Senior. BC Soccer has 21 components including the theory component in each of these courses.
BC Soccer has also added a Practical Component. During this component the coach will be assessed.
Once a coach has completed the full Community Coaching Level, they may then apply to BC Soccer to enter the B-License program. The B-License is broken into a provincial weekend and then a national course. During the provincial weekend the coaches would be assessed and then the coaches who pass with a high mark would be placed on the list for the national course. The B-License is comprised of 80 components in total. Coaches can then go on to the A-License course which is comprised of 120 components.
Coaches who completed their level one youth in prior clinics can enter at the Community Coaching Senior Level. Coaches who have completed their level one theory do not have to attend on the evening that the theory component is presented, if they so choose. BC Soccer is encouraging all of the coaches to attend as a refresher. Coaches who have their C-License can apply to the B-License course. If they wait till after Dec 1, 2004, then they must be assessed prior to entering the B-License program.

West Vancouver Soccer Club Player Evaluation Forms
|
WVSC requires all coaches to submit the following assessment for each player on the team, in preparation for the 2010-2011 season. This evaluation represents the coach’s most important opportunity in helping to determine the most suitable placement for each player for the 2010-2011 season.
